Asher Keddie and Vincent Fantauzzo are selling their elegant Elwood family home — and the lucky buyer may also end up with a painting by the award-winning artist.

The A-list couple have $2.4-$2.6 million price hopes for the Edwardian at 57 Milton St, which is decorated by Fantauzzo’s artwork, including striking portraits of Keddie and late actor Heath Ledger.

Marshall White Bayside partner Matthew Pillios said Keddie — a Gold Logie winner and star of upcoming ABC drama Stateless — and Fantauzzo had renovated the four-bedroom house after snapping it up in 2015.

57 Milton St, Elwood has a $2.4-$2.6 million price guide.

Fantauzzo’s artwork, including this portrait of Keddie, decorates the home.

The property changed hands for $2.061 million then, according to CoreLogic records.

“They put in a brand new (marble) kitchen, landscaped the garden, updated the flooring, and the entire house has been freshly painted,” Mr Pillios said.

“They’ve loved the privacy — it’s got close to 2m-high fences — and the high ceilings, big rooms and location … in the heart of Elwood.

“You feel like you’re in your own little sanctuary when you’re there.”

The famous couple installed this spectacular marble kitchen.

The classic residence retains period flourishes including pressed-metal ceilings, open fireplaces and a wraparound veranda.

It’s walking distance from the beach, the St Kilda Botanical Gardens and plenty of cafes, and accessible to the CBD.

Mr Pillios said the highest bidder at the property’s private March 21 auction may walk away with more than the house.

“Vince said if I can get some extra bids, he could have a special portrait for the lucky buyer,” the agent teased.

The house is scheduled for private auction in March.

The house offered four bedrooms.

He said Keddie and Fantauzzo were selling because they wanted to move closer to their kids’ schools.

They’d split their time between the Elwood house and a 43ha retreat in the Macedon Ranges, up until they sold that place for about $2.15 million in 2017.

Mr Pillios — who was named Victorian Agent of the Year at this year’s Australasian Real Estate Results Awards — has also sold properties for some of the AFL’s biggest names, including Alex Rance, Anthony Koutoufides, Jack Riewoldt and Greg Williams.
