Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade could be on their way to completing a successful house flip. The superstar couple recently listed their massive Mediterranean-style mansion in Sherman Oaks for $6.2 million, the Los Angeles Times reports, less than two years after they bought it for $5.995 million.
During their ownership, the couple, who are known for their love of home improvement and appeared on a television special called All-Star Flip in April 2018, upgraded the five-bedroom, nine-bathroom house by expanding the master suite. Originally built in 2017, the 8,650-square-foot villa-style dwelling sits on a hillside lot that is three-quarters of an acre large. Inside, a large spiral staircase is the focal point of the formal entryway, and there’s also an elevator connecting the three floors of the residence.
The house boasts amenities such as a home theater, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, and an ultra-chic kitchen that revolves around a marble-topped breakfast bar. The master suite, located on the top floor, is a spacious affair, with an entire wall of glass sliders offering access to a private terrace. In the master bathroom is a deep-soaking tub positioned under a row of picture windows, and a cavernous glass-enclosed steam shower that could accommodate even the tallest basketball player (Wade is six foot four). The outdoor offerings include an infinity-edge pool and spa, a kitchen with a wood-burning pizza oven, and a lounge swing, and visible from the backyard is the stunning valley below.
The retired NBA star and the We’re Going to Need More Wine author’s decision to sell comes after they dished out $17.9 million for an even larger home in the Hidden Hills community earlier this year. It, too, spans three stories, though it measures in at approximately 22,000 square feet, and includes seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Wade also previously owned a home in Miami Beach that they listed for $32.5 million last fall.
